It's a social network thought for who plays football. Thanks to Sportilia you can easly and quickly organize a match, saving time and money.
Why should I use Sportilia?
Because it's completely free, but mostly because you save so many SMS and phone calls searching people to play with, helps you meet new people and makes after-match more interesting with comments, ratings, awards and lots of match statistics.
How do I register?
E' semplicissimo e bastano pochi secondi: nella home page clicca su "iscriviti!" e compila i campi richiesti.
Una volta completata la registrazione ti arriverà una mail di conferma all'indirizzo che hai specificato che ti farà attivare il tuo account.

Yes, all data (except nickname) can be modified directly from your profile page.

Why do I need a profile picture? is it mandatory?
Your profile picture helps others recognizing you during or after the match, when it's rating time.
It's not mandatory, but in the picture you have to be recognizable. Avoid using other people's photos (eg. football players) or fictitious charachters (eg. movies or cartoons).
Is it mandatory to enter my mobile number?
No, you are not obliged to do it, but remember it will only be visible to the organizers of the matches you join, it will be used to warn you of last second changes, therefore it's quite important... unless you prefer showing up to a deserted field :)
What are all those icons on my profile page?
These are the awards, "prizes" that can be assigned at the end of the match. You win an award if you're the player who has most received it during ratings (with a minimum of two votes).
What are the personal address books?
It 'a functional way to manage the groups of friends you play more often with, you can send them private messages and quickly invite them to your matches.
I'm receiving emails I'd rather not receive. What should I do?
In Privacy Settings page you can edit email notification preferences.
How does the hexagon "to PES" which appears in my profile?
The chart is created by an artificial intelligence that takes into account: average ratings, awards, scored and conceded goals and gained Man of the Match. Initial score is determined by the preferred position chosen.
How is calculated the average rating?
The average rating is calculated arithmetically, taking into account the last ten matches played. If you haven't been rated in some of these matches, the average will be calculated on fewer ratings.

This bar measures your ratings reliability. The fuller (green) it is, the more reliable you are. The emptier (red) it is, the less reliable you are and your ratings will weigh less than others.

How works the matches page?
The "Matches" page works as a weekly planner: you'll see
Some matches have different colours, why?
Matches you've joined will appear in blue, those that you've been invited to in green and the ones you still have to rate in red.
What is the button "I wanna play!"?
It allows you to find and join the first match with available places.
What are networks? What are they?
A network is an aggregation point. Anyone can create a private or a public one and invite their friends to join. They are ideal for groups of friends who often play together and want to easily keep in touch.
What is the Activity page?
On this page you can see the newest Sportilia members in your province, played matches stats and prizes awarded to players.
I'm not on the rankings, why?
Rankings have a filter based on played matches: 8 if all time rankings, 4 if season rankings and 2 if monthly rankings. You then need to play more matches in order to be on the rankings.

I've joined a match but I can't play anymore... what should I do?
Always try to warn your friends soon enough to give them time to find a replacement, or at least to warn the first substitute. Also, if you decide not to play anymore, it's good practice to leave a warning on the board of the match .
What happens if I don't show up to a match I've joined?
The match organizer will flag you as "ditcher" when filling in the scorecard. If you keep on not showing up at matches you may be revoked access to the site.
I would add a lot to my friend joined the site, how can I do?
On the match page there's the button to add a external friend. Try to make him join Sportilia, otherwise he won't be able to be rated!
What happens if there are not enough members to match?
If the minimum number of players required is not fulfilled, the match will be considered "undisputed".
What are the links next to the names of the members?
The system uses a wizard to create teams, trying to balancing them by taking into account players' roles and average rating.
You're not obliged to use these lineups, the organizer can change them when filling in the scorecard.
What is the tab "lineup management" on the match page?
The organizer can edit lineups set by the wizard at any time before the match.
In this way you'll be able to save precious time before the match.
Lineups set by the organizer won't get saved! Why?
Lineups reset for two reasons: either someone of the starting players leaves the match, or someone accepts an invitation. Check match history to see if something has happened.
After the match.
I've played a match and now I can rate players. Do I have to?
After-match ratings and comments are optional. You can also write a comment to a player without rating him.
I'm the organizer but I can't / don't want to fill in the scorecard. What should I do?
The organizer may at any time promote to co-organizer of the match any (even more than one) players. Such user will then be able to edit scorecard and lineups after the match has been played.
I've played a match but the goals count is not accurate, why?
Rankings and statistics are recalculated every night, the next morning you will have updated data.
During matches with visible ratings, will ratings be visible even if less than 3 people rate? What about comments?
Ratings are assigned only if at least 3 people rate the same player; awards are officially assigned only if the player is assigned at least twice that award. Ratings are always visible in the comments section, even if the final rating hasn't been assigned.
I've played a match and I've rated players, but I can't see the ratings, why?
Ratings become visible after midnight of the day following the match, which is also the time limit you have to rate.
Any other business.
My favourite field is not in the facilities' list, what should I do?
While creating a match select "To be defined / Unknown" and notify us the missing field by using the proper button in the Facilities section. An admin will make it available as quickly as possible.
How can you change a field's features?
The data fields can be modified only by administrators, use the report button and specifying the scope changes or additional data that you want to report and update the admin facilities.
